Vehicle Impound

If your vehicle is in impound at Simple Tow, please contact us to confirm the steps and requirements needed for your specific situation.

REQUIRMENTS

Any activity related to a vehicle in our impound may only be taken by the owner of record for the state it is registered in. -Regardless of the final disposition, individuals must prove ownership and Identification. Documents presented must be original documents. -If a document is in the vehicle we will let you get it out with proof of identity matching the name on the document. 

 

Please call prior to your arrival to avoid any delays. Any arrangements made outside of the regular office hours is subject to an "After hours fee" which is paid in cash at that time.

Picking up

The individual whose name is on the current registration must bring       

  • -Current registration document

  • - government-issued photo ID.

  • - Proof of insurance is required if the vehicle will be driven out.

  • - Payment must be made in cash.

  • - A title is acceptable if the name is on the front and the back is blank.

 

                  If the registered owner is unavailable, 

A person with a limited power of attorney (POA) can pick up the vehicle.

         - The POA must include the vehicle information and be notarized. 

         - The POA holder must present the current registration 

         - The POA holder must also show a government-issued photo ID.

                (In addition to the above listed requirements)

The registered owner is the only one with the authority to release for insurance

Please bring the following

  • -Current Registration document

  • - A government-issued photo ID.

  • - A title is acceptable if the name is on the front and the back is blank.
